A tutor can help pinpoint exactly what you need to learn, how to learn it and then apply the concepts to the problems you need to understand.
In my case, you are paying for over 35 years of experience in a variety of businesses, environments, with expertise in several subjects and topics.
I also coach and mentor on leadership, career and personal development.
It comes down to fit … personality, experience, expertise and whether you believe I am the best fit for you or someone else is a better fit.
There are many, many excellent tutors that can help you – so it comes down to speaking with several that look like a fit for you and making a decision. Trust your intuition, your instinct. It has served you well so far – let it continue to serve you well.
If you sense the tutor is not your advocate, discuss it with them, see f they will adjust their approach to fit you. If you are not getting good value for your time and money or the tutor is not helping you you have the right and responsibility to tell them and then find a tutor that will be on your side and help you in the manner you prefer.
I tend to offer these special incentives at the beginning of each semester – August and January.
